Nikita Averbach
My name is Nikita Averbach. I am a mixing and mastering engineer. I graduated from the Department of Sound Engineering at the Institute of Modern Art in Moscow, Russia; completed Ableton Live training at UMaker, and finished an advanced course in Ableton at the Maskeliade School.

With over 10 years of experience in music and sound engineering, I have worked with orchestras, edited podcasts, and mixed rock music. However, my passion is electronic music. If you are creating house, techno, jungle, neurofunk, synth-pop, and want to have your track mixed or mastered, I would be happy to work with you!

File delivery specifications
Mixing file delivery specifications
File format: .wav or .aiff;
Sample rate: keep it at the source sample rate (44.1 - 192kHz);
Bit Rate: 24 bits or higher.

  1. Before starting at the export of all the separated channels, first export your own mix and include it in the package. I’m using this as a reference.
  2. Take a good look at all the individual channels, make sure to remove all unnecessary EQ’s or compressors. (Keep all the plugins that you’ve used to design the individual sound turned ON. And Bypass all the plugins that you’ve used to mix the track).
  3. Label all the channels so it makes sense;
  4. Make sure that the levels on all the channels are safe (below -1dBFS, True Peak);
  5. Export all the individual channels. Make sure to include automation in the export and turn off normalization;
  6. If there are vocals in the song, export an extra copy of the unprocessed vocals as well;
  7. ZIP or RAR all the files per song and send it to me in Telegram. WeTransfer and Google Drive are also possible.

F.A.Q.

Is it possible to export multiple versions of a channel?
Yes, a maximum of 2 options is possible, make sure to label it!
Do I really need to include my own mix?
No, it’s not mandatory, however, your mix can give me a good feeling for the vibe you’re looking for and is also used for error checking of the channels.
I have a channel that can’t be split into separated channels (for instance a drum loop). What now?
Well, I always want to have the most optimal material. If the loop already is a combination of multiple instruments that can’t be split anymore, then that is the most optimal material :)

F.A.Q.

Can I send a reference from a different artist?
Yes, please send me the name and track title.
Do you give feedback to my mix?
Yes, I give feedback whenever I hear something in the mix that could’ve been done better. This happens during the mastering process, because that is the moment where your mix will be under a magnifying glass. I’ll supply you with the feedback, and a mastered file to make it easier to hear what I mean. You can edit the mix and I’ll master it again, of-course without any extra costs.
